I have acne. What should I do? Is there any product I should start with?

We would like to stress we advise against changing/introducing more than one new product at the time. Try one of our products, but stick with the rest of your routine.

If you have adult acne, we recommend trying our Ultralase Cleanse Mandelic Gluconic Facial Wash first. Please do start slow if you never used an acid based product before (since different skin types require different levels of exfoliation). Use Ultralase Cleanse once every other day for a fortnight.

Once you get the feel for the product and Mandelic acid, you can introduce our Ultralase 10 Serum to your routine. It is a leave-on serum with 10% Mandelic acid (it is also available in trial size). We recommend applying Ultralase 10 serum twice a week after your evening cleanse. You can up the usage to every other night if you are happy with the results after two weeks. But again, monitor your skin.

Should I wash off your Mandelic acid products?

With the exception of Ultralase Cleanse, our Mandelic acid products are all leave-on products.

Should I use sunscreen while I use your products?

YES! For the love of everything holy, use sunscreen. Even if you don't use our products.

I started using an acid treatment and my skin has gone dry and crinkly. What should I do?

Please refer to this article on our blog. Every skin needs to adjust to a treatment strength AHA product and retinol.

My acne is gone, but I'm left with red/brown marks. Is there anything I can do about them?

It is called postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. Please read this article that explains in detail how to treat it.

Can I use a retinol product when I'm pregnant?

High oral doses of vitamin A can be damaging to the fetus during pregnancy. For this reason, prescription-based topical retinoids are also best avoided during pregnancy. The body's uptake of natural retinol in non-prescription facial skincare is *very* small. However, the cautious approach is it is best to avoid all retinol skincare during pregnancy.

Do you test on animals?

We never test our products on animals, only on ourselves.
